Yoga is a well-balanced and perfect process for liberation
of the soul and transformation of man. Yoga is a means to develop the sixth
sense to
its fullness and to enable and equip man to enjoy a peaceful and blissful
life. It is essentially an art of understanding all about the soul and
realising its relationship with the body, society, world and the universe,
maintaining its harmony, and finally merging with the universal soul. A
major aspect of living is the experience of feelings. Feelings may be analysed
into four categories, viz. - (i) Peace, (ii) Pleasure, (iii) Pain and (iv)
Ecstasy. Peacefulness enables man to progress in the right
path towards liberation. Pleasure suspends progress for a particular
time. Pain leads to confusion about the path, damages the physical
structure and obstructs progress. Ecstasy occurs when the mind
gets linked with the secrets of nature. The practice of yoga will enable
man to understand the process of ultimate union, and will lead to liberation
and transformation. In a more mundane sense, yoga helps human beings to
realise the need to develop the power of the inner being/soul, which also
enables one to keep up with the ever-increasing pace of life and its complexities.
