People are more like poems than like stacks of cards.

In their basic nature people are closer to poems than to stacks of cards, so while it is not bad for psychologists to have some basic idea of statistics, for example in the area of public health, reading and writing poetry should be considered a core subject in psychology.

Of course, there are more prosaic types amongst us as well and even they have occasionally problems or an urge for further development, so reading and writing novels and short stories could be included as well.

Would it not be wonderful to curate selections of poems, novels, and short stories for different types of psychologists and subspecialisations within the discipline?
